The sandwich shop opens its doors
The launch event was a great success
After 3 lonely months locked away at 16 Wensum Street in Norwich, on Saturday 9th May, The Sandwich shop opened its doors for a private launch event. We were all a bit nervous as so much of what we were doing was new to us. However, by 10am the shop was buzzing with friends and family who had come together to support our mission.
The Sandwich Shop aims to serve high-quality, freshly made sandwiches while creating meaningful, lasting impact across the community. Every purchase made at the shop will directly contribute to our community meal projects.“We wanted to create something simple but impactful,” said Lisa, founder of EatSocial Norfolk C.I.C. “Food brings people together, and no one in our community should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. By donating all profits, we’re turning everyday purchases into real support for local families.”Customers can expect a menu focused on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The sandwich shop will be open from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Saturday serving breakfast, lunch and drinks. The opening of The Sandwich Shop comes at a time when many families across the region are facing increasing financial pressure due to rising living costs. By combining business with social purpose, the shop hopes to inspire both customers and other local businesses to play a role in supporting our community. We’d like to thank everyone who came along on Saturday to the launch event, and everyone who has helped us along the way, we couldn’t have done it without you!
